I'm Nick Sam and I work at DraftKings. I'm a sports operation specialist. We started as a daily fantasy sports company, so basically, you know, an alterative to like your season long fantasy, you know, fantasy football, fantasy baseball, or something like that. Giving people an opportunity to just play on a give Sunday or like a given day of baseball or basketball or something. And from there, we've recently evolved into a sports betting company as well. What I deal with basically is the operation of the physical app and the website itself. So basically, my team acts as sort of a connector from the customers to the sort of back engine of DraftKings. We are responsible for offering people the largest offering of bets, sports, you know, physically what people are able to bet on. So we work largely with our trading team, which is based over in Europe. And we take a bunch of ideas and be like, hey, like we want people to be able to bet on who bets the first, who makes the first field goal in a basketball game, or like we think it's important to offer, like, first half, second half lines in a college basketball game or football game or something. So we'll take these ideas to our trading team. They're the ones that run all the fancy algorithms and get the probabilities and prize stock. They spit us back these, you know, these probabilities and we physically need to take these and put them on site. There's a dedicated promotions team, but we work largely with them to sort of get these things up on site. You know, certain things like, if you're, you know, if you been in New Jersey and West Virginia or Indiana or any of these sites, you'll see like, you know, we're boosting the odds. We're giving a special like, you know, you could see it as like a sale, like some things really like two to one, maybe we'll boost it to four or five to one and be like, "hey, for a limited time, "come and get this offer at, you know, "these boosted odds, you know." That's something my team works a lot with and works on other special promotions with the dedicated promotions team. We also work a lot with our analytics team, like I was saying before. Like running a variety of experiments. Doing like A B tasks and getting, you know, a lot of collaboration with our analytics guys who like, you know, my team does, we do work with analytics and like tools like Segal and stuff like that and database pulling, but if we need to do like more heavy duty experiments, we'll get in a guy from the analytics team and get them to really be collaborative and sort of, you know, run something like that.
