About Us

The Thaddeus Resource Center is a non-profit organization whose purpose is to restore HOPE, inspire GROWTH, and EMPOWER girls and women through mental health, education, life skill development, workforce training, and other supportive services. About the Role

We are seeking a motivated and passionate individual to join our team as a Social Media Content Creator Intern. This role offers hands-on experience in shaping our digital presence, creating engaging content, and contributing to our mission-driven organization. Ideal candidates should be enthusiastic about non-profits, digital media, and storytelling that inspires action.

This internship is unpaid, but eligible for academic or course credit if approved by your educational institution.

Key Responsibilities

  • Content Development: Collaborate with the team to create content concepts, including posts, stories, and videos.
  • Content Management: Maintain and schedule posts across platforms (Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, TikTok, LinkedIn) using tools like Hootsuite.
  • Performance Monitoring: Analyze metrics and provide insights to refine strategies using tools like Google Analytics.
  • Audience Engagement: Represent the organization by responding to comments and messages.
  • Visual Creation: Assist in creating visuals using tools like Canva or Photoshop.
  • Campaign Support: Aid in developing campaigns, such as awareness or fundraising efforts.
  • Reporting: Present insights to the team for strategy adjustments.
  • Trend Awareness: Stay updated on digital trends and suggest innovative ideas.
  • Cross-Promotion: Ensure consistent messaging by coordinating with other departments.

Qualifications

  • Be enrolled in or have recently graduated with at least a Bachelor’s degree in marketing, Journalism, Public Relations, Communications, or a related field of study from an accredited institution.
  • Prior professional and/or internship experience in another Non-profit organization(s)
  • Hands-on experience with social media platforms and tools.
  • Strong writing, communication, and content creation skills (a portfolio will be viewed favorably).
  • Basic design skills and passion for non-profits.
  • Self-motivation, creativity, and organizational skills.

Time Commitment :

  • Must be available to work a minimum of 15 hours per week .
  • Must be available for the following VIRTUAL weekly meetings:
  • Weekly All Staff Meeting: Tuesday 10am – 12pm PST
  • Weekly Department Meeting: Thursdays – Development Department Meeting 10am – 12pm PST.
  • Flexibility to attend additional department meetings to further understand what we do as an organization.

Must be able to commit to the internship program for 1-year
