Monday through Friday, 25 hours per week. This position is required to work in office at Austin headquarters.
Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications
Education:
Currently enrolled and taking classes at an accredited college or university and have completed at least four semesters.
Preferred:
- Pursuing bachelor’s degree in art, graphic design, communications, journalism, advertising, public relations or related field.
- One (1) year experience in graphic design role.
Substitution:
- One additional year experience in graphic design, communication or multimedia role.
Summary of Physical Requirements:
The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions. This position requires extensive computer, telephone and client/customer contact. The incumbent primarily performs sedentary office work; however, mobility (standing and walking) is routinely required to carry out various duties. This position requires the ability to bend, stoop, kneel, and reach as needed to perform filing and other similar routine office duties. Some lifting and/or moving, up to 35 lbs. of office equipment and/or materials may be required on a limited basis. The job also requires normal cognitive abilities, requiring the ability to learn, recall, and apply certain practices and policies. It requires the stamina to maintain attention to detail despite interruptions. Marginal or corrected visual and auditory requirements are required for reading printed materials and computer screens and communicating with internal and external customers
In this role you will:
- Design and production of one pagers, publications, business cards, signage, online graphics and other external and internal communication materials
- Photography post production, including photo editing and printing; sourcing applicable imagery for various communications within agency stock sources
- Operate large format printer, handle mounting and laminating, trimming and other digital printing
- Convert and make necessary adjustments to PDF documents to ensure 508 compliance and accessibility
- General support of the Graphics team and other duties as assigned by division
