We’re excited to announce the expansion of our Injury Prevention Program! We are seeking an additional Athletic Trainer to join our team in Bath, Maine.

Schedule: Regular work hours and no weekends! M-F, 8 hours/day, 40 hours/wk with varying schedule between 6:00a-4p, must have some flexibility to occasionally work later
Responsible for planning, developing, implementing, delivering, and evaluating employees to help reduce musculoskeletal complaints for employees. Works to ensure the highest possible level of engagement, outcomes, and customer (client and participant) satisfaction. Assists with safety by delivering ergonomic evaluations, delivering shift stretch programming, Line Side/Job Coaching, and early intervention services (Movement Efficiency Solutions) with the overall focus being prevention of work-related injuries. Provides education and intervention within scope of position as deemed appropriate within client and OSHA guidelines. May be required to triage mild injuries.
Key Accountabilities
- Evaluates work tasks, making suggestions to help employees feel better, and educating on proper stretching, taking breaks, using ice, and anatomy. Conducts employee injury prevention programs, education, and training. Develops exercise programs specific to injury prevention and conditioning needs.
- Provides services that include client intake, follow-ups, education, and discharge from the program to employees reporting musculoskeletal pain or discomfort.
- Performs initial screening to confirm that the employee is an appropriate candidate for program and refer for medical evaluation when appropriate. Follow up with calls/visits to determine progress within the program.
- Provides prompt documentation of employee consults to the employee’s supervisor and appropriate personnel in EH&S and Global Health & Wellness.
- Presents educational sessions to departments and local facilities. Provides education on the pain cycle, applicable anatomy, and ergonomic risk factors.
- Conducts office ergonomic evaluations (risk assessments) and document recommendations using tools and forms. Perform field ergonomic evaluations as needed. Provides a comprehensive early intervention and injury prevention solution.
- Organizes daily work schedule to maintain optimal client care and notify appropriate personnel where additional help is needed; utilizes off-peak time for program and self-development.

Minimum Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in Athletic Training or related field.
- Board Certified Athletic Trainer (BOC) Certification or Physical Therapy license.
- Possess active state athletic training licensure or physical therapy licensure.
- 1+ years related experience or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Current First Aid and CPR/AED certifications.
- Ability to effectively organize and prioritize work demands including project coordination.
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team with enthusiasm, initiative, and creativity.
- Ability to travel to other location may be required.
- Applicants must meet hiring requirements including but not limited to pre-employment drug test.
Preferred
- Strong interpersonal communication and customer service skills including the ability to motivate others.
- Computer proficiency in Microsoft Office programs including at minimum Word, Excel, and Outlook.
- Work Experience in a clinical environment (Occupational Therapy, Physical Therapy, Nursing, Athletic Training)
- Understanding of Biomechanics.
- Understanding of Occupational Safety.
